The Billie Razor Review

Okay okay okay… I told myself I wasn’t going to write a blog post like the 99 other millions I’ve seen but after bringing it up in conversation four times last week, I have to share. “Hi, my name is Katie and I love the Billie razor.”

I’ve been annoyed with how expensive women’s razors are since I started shaving my legs almost twenty years ago. That being said, I normally grab a guy’s razor set, use all the blades, break the razor travelling, forget it on a trip, etc and then buy a different base and start the process all over again.

Enter the Billie razor. I saw a few bloggers and people mention this $9 razor and was like hmm okay whatever I like their branding but it’s just a razor… and then I dropped and broke my razor. (Side note – I don’t know what I’m doing so aggressively in the shower to drop and break plastic, maybe slippery hands or the balance of a hippo on a bicycle but anyways… it happened) Later that week (because let’s be honest, I’m not shaving every day) I saw Two Peas in a Prada raving about the Billie and decided to check it out.

First of all, it’s only $9. Just do it. Secondly, the check-out process was so simple I did it all from my phone (must have card number memorized or you’ll likely need to grab your purse).

The Billie razor has five blades for a super sharp shave and is encased in charcoal shave soap that really does just glide over the skin. I had no nicks, ingrown hairs, or irritation after shaving. *I will note, the one negative I noticed is since I didn’t use the mounting holder thing right away, after my first shave, the soap got a little sudsy and got the razor stuck to my ledge. Some warm water and actually using the way recommended fixed the problem but if you’re traveling or shaving away from your primary shower, just dry face up!

It comes in six super chic colors; I choose cool blue for a spa like but not overly pink girly bathroom vibe. There’s also a coral/peach, light pink, multi-colored pink & purple combo, darker blue/purple, and fluorescent yellow. You then choose if you shave every day, every other day, or a few times a week. Confession – I’m the last girl so my subscription is set to send four replacement cartridges every three months. You can also cancel or pause your subscription at any time. I really do love the Billie razor but I also love the affordable subscription model. I’m all into automation & making things more efficient.

I’ve also been making the commitment to use the purchasing power of my dollars to support brands and causes that make a positive impact on the world. When I signed up, Billie was donating 1% of all revenue to women’s causes around the world including Every Mother Counts, which is committed to making pregnancy and childbirth safe for women everywhere. Recently, they’ve decided to donate their 1% to food banks across America to serve the immediate needs of those impacted by the Coronavirus. Your legs, women around the world, and your neighbors will all benefit for using a Billie razor!

Next on my list is to check out their super affordable body products. They have a shave cream, body wash, and body lotion all made with no synthetic fragrances or parabens. Every single ingredient in their body care products has a top rating on the EWG Skin Deep Database, which provides transparency for consumers to make educated decisions. They’ve also recently come out with dry shampoo, makeup remover wipes, and lip balm that all match their super cute branding and are super affordable (less than $15).

Oh, did I mention they also do free shipping for all subscriptions or order over $15?! Spend the $9, get the Billie, and then come back and tell me how much you love it!
