One of my favorite parts of my blogging journey so far has been the connections & community that I’ve made in just a short amount of time. I’ve discovered some amazing new business blogs to follow so today, I want to share with you some of my favorites! These blogs are perfect for working professionals, women with a side hustle, established entrepreneurs, or any of us just trying to level up our professional life!

Career Contessa
Career Contessa is an AMAZING business blog with articles, interviews, webinars, even free downloads! I discovered them last year while finding salary negotiation tips and was immediately hooked. The have a feature called The Salary Project which really set me up for success prior to my annual review. I now visit the site at least once a week and always find relevant & refreshing content. They even have a whole section dedicated to Resources that covers topics like “how to set a food budget”, “how to embrace self-love at work”, and “how to write networking emails like a pro”. They’ve been featured Forbes, Cosmopolitan, Business Insider, Pop Sugar, and the Huffington Post. I can’t recommend Career Contessa enough and have already encouraged all of my friends to check them out when they’re looking for business guidance or advice.

Leaders In Heels
Leaders In Heels is a great resource that was created to “nuture, inspire and empower female leaders and entrepreneurs.” This business blog has a robust library covering all sorts of topics like changing careers, productivity, human resources, podcasting, public speaking, finance, leadership, and more. If you’re looking for some free guides or interactive worksheets, they’ve also got you covered with goal setting guides and passion discovery printables.

Classy Career Girl
When you get to the Classy Career Girl homepage, you’re prompted to select “I want to find a job I love…”, “I want to start or grow a business…”, or “I don’t know what I want yet…”. You’re then served up a ton of great articles based on your selection. Some example posts include Writing A Resume, The 13 Best Kept Cover Letter Secrets, Top 9 Ways to Grow Your Business Without Debt, and 5 Ways to Find Your Calling. Classy Career Girl’s site may not have as much content as the others I’ve mentioned but they have an amazing online community through a Facebook group and their member only portion of the site. Classy Career Girl has been featured in Yahoo! Finance, WSJ, Bloomber Businessweek, ESPN, and Forbes.

The Work At Home Woman
Holly Reisem Hanna started The Work At Home Woman after the birth of her daughter and officially launched her blog in March of 2009. I pop over when I’m looking for some a quick read since most posts are list style (which I like!) and super practical/easy to implement. Different from the other business blogs I’ve mentioned, this blog frequently posts content about remote jobs, home business ideas, or work from home opportunities. The Work At Home Woman has been featured in Forbes, CNN, Real Simple, Woman’s Day, the NY Times, and Mashable. Holly covers everything from blogging, direct sales, money, and freelancing, to reports of work from home jobs that she updates weekly.

She owns It
She Owns It’s mission is “celebrating, supporting, and connection women entrepreneurs”. They believe all women can write their own success stories. One of my favorite features of She Owns It is their conference guide. They list upcoming conferences and events that would be of interest to female entrepreneurs that I might not know were happening otherwise. I also really like their contributor posts since I know I can count on their blog posts to be written by professionals who know what they’re talking about. Some of their most recent posts include “How To Transition From A Sole Proprietor To An LLC“, “Instagram Influencer Marketing and Consumer Conversations in 2020“, and “How To Improve Your Content Marketing With Visual Communication“. I’d personally love to write for them one day; if you’d also like more info about their guest posting program, you can find it here.

I’d love to add more workplace, career, or business blogs to my favorite list! Please let me know some of your go-tos in the comments. I can’t wait to check them out!
